9/11/01 vs. 9/11/12

9/11/01 Media turns Republican GWB into a hero despite him reading childrens books and the death of 3,000 Americans after having intelligence well in advance. Democrats rally around GWB putting the nation first and his approval rating hits 90% up from the low to mid 50's in one week.

9/11/12 US consulate is attacked in Country 1000's of miles away from the US. 4 Americans killed. There is no rally around the President by Republicans. Obama's approval rating doesn't soar. The media does not present Obama as a hero for providing a speech. Numerous (silly) inquiries critiquing the President for actually waiting for the facts 16 days before coming to an abosute conclusion. President blamed in MSM and in Republican talking points as being solely responsible for an act 1000's miles away.


Rhetorical question that begs no response. What would have happened if Barack Obama was President during 9/11/01. Would Republicans have rallied around him? no. The media? no. Would he have been blamed? yes. Would he have been impeached? absolutely.

Whenever I think of the Pregressives/Liberals vs. them I always think of the Biblical tale of the two Mothers claiming the baby child in from of King Solomon. The one "Mother" said go ahead and cut the baby and give us each half. The other, true Mother said "no no no, don't cut him, if it comes to that, give the baby to her." The baby is our country, the ones we love. Republicans/corporate media will kill the baby, just to spite the other "Mother."
