Why is Nevada always easier for us than Colorado?

Nevada has a Republican governor, Colorado's is a Democrat. Both states have had influxes of Latinos and people from more progressive parts of the country, but Nevada appears to be the lower hanging fruit. Is it because of organized labor in Reno and Las Vegas?

25% of CO population is rural

Maybe the legal gambling and prostitution make it seem like a less hospitable environment for people of that persuasion.

(Boulder, Denver) but also has the Ted Haggart cults and military complexes in Colorado Springs. If it weren't for the huge fundy crowd in the Springs CO would always be BLUE.
I have lived in CO since I was 5, its a bizarre state with a really crazy mix of radical people. Nobody here thinks they fit the "normal" bill.
