Mikka is really taking a stance for women on the Binder Gate Romney lies, Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and the comment of flex time for women to be able to get home to fix dinner comment.
I just want to slap the smirks off of Joe Scarborough and all the male panelists!
Halperine wouldnt discuss Romneys remarks about 'Binders of Women', says they werent important and he wont discuss it at all. What it meant nothing. What an arrogant sob. Mika is pissed and so am I.
Oh we dont like it so were not even going to TALK about it. Why didnt they send Mika to her room.
Romney LIED AGAIN. But the boys dont want to talk about it.

Halperin is especially revolting.

(4,218 posts)What I need is a panel of men telling me what is important to me. (sorry - can't find the sarcasm tag as smoke is coming out of my head)
They just said they are being flooded with emails in support of Mika so they're changing the topic but they're still as condescending to her. Bastards.

(7,044 posts)by continuing to crap all over women. Stupid. Making a shitty situation for the Republicans even shittier by rubbing women's faces in the mysogynistic scuzzcrud the men are emitting.
Men oozing and barfing up a royal crapfest of condescension (R). Not honorable. At all. Many are noticing.

(6,096 posts)I told them how proud I was of Mica and that they could tell Joe and the other men involved that when they grow a uterus they can tell me what to do with mine. ... and I'm a senior citizen..ha

(4,218 posts)Wonder if they'll do that today.
NBC has a problem with women. They dismissed Ann Curry from Today in an awkward manner. She was awful for that format so I have no problem with her leaving but they showed no class in her dismissal. Now we're seeing Joe and his boys tromping all over Mika on a regular basis. He needs a book on manners. Willie is moving to the Today Show in Nov. I used to like him but after this morning I don't need to watch more of him there.

(47,458 posts)Its like a boy's club every morning, UNLESS Joe isn't there. Then the "guys" act like relatively normal people. Joe is a bully and the regulars don't want to get on his bad side. Also its so easy to gang up on the only "girl" at the table if they all stick together.
It reminds me of playground politics.

(3,469 posts)Tried to shut her down in a very pompous and condescending manner. She stood her ground though. Go Mika!
Oh and, fuck you, Joe. Don't tell me what I can and can not care about.

(1,214 posts)I could not *believe* how "funny" Joe and the boys thought equal pay for equal work was such a silly non-issue ! OMG I AM LIVID AT THOSE SONS OF BITCHES! Believe me, though, if Romney wins, women are in real trouble. How sad.

(7,044 posts)These men have shown no honor.
And that indictment goes for so much of the Republican party: a political party that has devolved over time to an entity lacking honor.
The Morning Joe show is just putting that lack of honor in a frame so millions of women can see it plain in the Republican men.

Equal pay, contraception for women are ECONOMIC issues. IMPORTANT ISSUES - and not just for WOMEN.

(26,060 posts)about it when I got to my office. To think that the 4 entitled white men sitting their know more about what is important to women was truly a disgusting display. Heard they got a lot of feedback about it so backed off but it was a perfect example of why there is such a big gender gap in politics. Apparently LYING about something aint no big thing in their world.

(384 posts)THREE hours, and the quality women, (Rachel and others), get only one each weekday.
A shake-up is in order in the hosts and programming at MSNBC. My fantasy would be a 2 hour every weekday morning show with Rachel and Chris Hayes as co-hosts. MHP would be great, too, but she has another full time job as a professor in New Orleans.
What is Joe's claim to a 3 hour morning show? Really? He was once a Republican Congressman from a largely Republican district? He is totally useless as a host, babbles on and on, has no insight, gets several facts wrong each day, and spends almost half his time talking about sports.
Not going to be watching Morning Joke ever again.
PatSeg
(47,458 posts)was a demotion for Joe. He used to have a one hour prime time slot after Keith Olbermann (Rachel's time now). Evidently his ratings weren't that great so they replaced him. Pretty much anyone would rather have the prime time slot over the very EARLY and long morning show.
Joe was relatively civilized on "Scarborough Country", but when he moved to the crack of dawn, he became snotty and belligerent.
