Joe Ricketts, the former Omaha entrepreneur, is back in the Nebraska U.S. Senate race.

Ricketts has purchased about $220,000 in television and radio advertisements that hammer Democrat Bob Kerrey for opposing a balanced-budget amendment.

Ending Spending, a Super PAC almost entirely funded by Ricketts, produced and purchased the ads to run for one week, primarily in the Omaha and Lincoln markets.

Kerrey is running against Republican Deb Fischer.
