Limited Government Romney Style Would Be ----

the end of federal government as we now know it. Mitt is on the record in that he would combine federal agencies and ship many responsibilities to the states under block grants. Most federal jobs would be privatized or contracted out.

The Romney solution to the debt would be to abolish Health And Human Services, Department of Labor, EPA, NIH, and agencies that regulate business. He would send those duties to the states under block grants.

The Forest Service would also be dismantled and our national forests would be turned over to the states to be managed. They would have the authority to sell mining and drilling rights on federal lands. They would also be given authority to contract out services provided on public lands. McDonalds would have the right to put their restaurants in the parks. Fighting forest fires would be privatized and equipment would be put up for bid.

Federal health programs would be contracted to health care corporations and disease control would be sent back to the states as well. Disease control is not mentioned in the Constitution.

In the end we would have a mangled federal system or what is left of it.

Most of the commons including the national highway system would be also privatized and toll roads would flourish and many of them would be run by private corporations including corporations owned by the Chinese.

2. Cons are so phony about this issue. Either get rid of government altogether, or shut up about it.

There's not such thing as small government or big government. There's only shitty government and good government. Cons advocate for the former because it gives them more chances to rob the American people.

I'd go along with their "no government" solution, so long as that meant there were no more cops. I want the freedumb to break into Mitt Romney's mansion and steal all of his shit. Why don't cons want me to have that freedumb? Are they anti-freedumb?

3. If you want an example of little or no government regulation, look at Haiti.

The reason why so many people died in Haiti during their earthquake is because their government had few if any rules regarding building safety codes. People were free to make structures however they want, and many of them weren't up to snuff when it came to earthquakes.

Another good example is Colombia, but I doubt right-wingers would bring up the right-wing paramilitary organizations that routinely assassinate labor leaders and workers who have some fucked up idea of a living wage stuck in their head. I'd be willing to wager that in private thoughts, some of the captains of industry on Wall Street want similar paramilitary groups to knock down people who ask uncomfortable questions and demand a decent living.

positions that were filled with affirmative action candidates.
many ethnic americans and women work for government agencies at the federal, state and local levels.
these jobs have decent pay and good benefits and they won't be replaced by private sector openings.
reducing the number of government jobs kills two birds with one stone for republicans, fewer regulations and less oversight of private business activity and fewer minorities included in the middle-class.
