Romney and Ryan remind me of teabaggers I've known

The thing I've learned when dealing with the teabaggeratti in my life is that they ignorantly spout their opinions and almost invariably their opinions are not based on facts, though they will make up their own facts to suit their opinions.

They're proud of their pronouncements and they love to make them because they think it makes them sound strong. I used to be naive and would engage them in order to shed some facts on the matter so they could understand the issues. Because I was friendly about it they would listen, and in the end most of them would end up agreeing with me.

But the very next time I would encounter them they would spout their original opinions without having changed them a single iota.

That is what Romney and Ryan do. That is what FOX news does. That is what Limbaugh does. That's why Romney and Ryan can utterly lose an argument one day in front of millions of people and yet go out and spout the same losing argument the very next day with no variation whatsoever and with renewed energy and vigor.

I have learned to conclude that it's a waste of time to educate the willfully ignorant. Idiocracy isn't just a movie. It's a fact.

His latest flip flop is to go back to his make-believe moderate self, in order to get votes.

I don't think he really cares about gay people or immigration or other things that cons hate. He just exploits those issues to get the stupid people to vote for him. That's what all con politicians do. Exploit the social issues, and then rob the American people blind once you get elected.
