THIS is exactly what women talk about when we complain about misogynists. You're seeing it in all its glory here, men telling Mika that she shouldn't worry her pretty head about such trivialities as Mitt's lies.

When I watch Joe Scar I know full well that he is still a conservative as is Mark Halperin and some of the other guys that come on that show. That they are more tolerable then the idiots on Faux and that they admit (at times) when Romney does something stupid does not make them our friends. Remember that.

My vote was in the tank for Obama. It was a given. But the misogynistic bullshit that has been going on with the Republican party is really making me angry. Really angry. And when I get angry, I get active. It is driving me to volunteer more, donate more and just generally putting my enthusiasm level for Obama and most Dems about five points higher than it would have been. Because they seem willing to stand up for me, my daughter and our basic human rights.

The binder thing matters. It is funny but also symbolic of how Romney views women. Lilly Ledbetter matters. My right to chose and use contraception matters. Hopefully we stun them at the ballot box and they will see how much.

With all that we know about Robme, why would anyone (women especially) want to vote for him. I work in Virginia (at the Washington Beltway) and the women I work with would not vote for him. Are the others brain dead? Why would anyone vote for him? He's an empty suit and his debate performance showed it.

I posted something along these lines on my Facebook page and he responded with some bullshit rightwing propaganda article about how Obama was secretly sexist. And I Let. Him. Have. It. Obama passed Lilly Ledbetter. Obama does not secretly (or not so secretly) wish to symbolically rape me or my daughter if we decide to exercise our right to an abortion. If my daughter or I was raped, Obama would not force us to prove that it was "legitimate". Obama is finally finally finally making it possible for women to obtain birth control at a reasonable price (I can't tell you how much that would have meant to me in my 20's).

I am seething angry at conservatives on this issue right now. And if I am, many others are too. They are stupid to just blow us off like that.

They are the "me, me, me" party. If it isn't about them, then it really doesn't matter. We people (remember Ann Romney's "You poeple" line?) are not insignificant. We really are a majority and can turn an election if we all care enough to vote. Romney definitely would not be good for women, which would mean he is not good for the country.

this just confirms it a little more for men who are watching. and the women, to shut up. be the docile women. let the men folk do the talking if you want to be a part of the group and accepted.

Additionally, I find it VERY difficult to believe women and Latinos have drawn even in some polls. There is too much at stake for that to happen.
