Romney's Code Talk -- Women Should Have Careers In The Home ---

Two parent families are what is needed. Women should find a man to take care of them and have babies and do the wash. If they do work it should be low paying part time jobs. And the husband should determine when they get pregnant.

but there were bills to be paid, and those darn things like groceries and doctors appointments made it necessary for me to add to my family's income by working. And NO, we couldn't just scale back so I could say home with the kids. There was nothing to scale back on. Our kids did not have fancy video game systems, we did not have cable tv, cell phones or internet. No fancy mini van for us- a 10 year old Dodge Aries was our "ride". Our family vacation was a trip to a zoo or an amusement park once a year, home the same day. And the kids turned out just fine. Proud to say my daughter (a junior in high school this year) has a 3.8 GPA was just accepted into National Honor Society!

My dad paid $50 a month for mortgage on our 4 bedroom house in napa (before any tourists came) we could buy 4 bags of groceries including meats for $20 and he paid nothing for kaiser that went with his job including the home visits if you were real sick and gas was 25 cents a gallon.

I am sure many parents would like to spend more time at home like my mom did, but can't afford to do so. For someone with money to act like its a choice when for many it is not is crazy!

In order for that to work, they'd have to double men's pay. Pay scales have been adjusted toward two-job families for nigh on 40 years now.
