I don't think anybody is voting "FOR" Romney

I think the vast majority of Romney voters are right wingers who will vote for any Republican, the rest are people who don't want to vote for Obama.
The first debate let some people feel more comfortable voting against Obama, hence the poll numbers after that.
My assumption is they aren't happy with the way things are going and don't think about the actual policies and agenda. The "gave this guy a chance, now I'll try that guy" thinking.

My hope is now they are uncomfortable with Romney again. Because I don't know how on earth anyone who is moderate or independent could look at all the shit on this lying bully and want to vote for him.

Most of the "anti-Obama" voters just want to vote for the "white guy". They even say so. HopeHoops Oct 2012 #1

It's beyond disgusting. How can we be this far along in our development and still be surrounded by overt racists? I know I'm going to get arrested some day for decking one of them. Perhaps I have anger management issues, but that kind of talk is like someone saying "Your MOTHER!" I get hot under the collar. They don't give a shit about policies - it's all about having a black man in the "WHITE" house - an all too frequent term. Obama's possibly the best president we've ever had, but the rMoney wingnuts aren't smart enough to understand that. They're also the same ones who voted for the shrub. Look where THAT got us.
