Gallup demographics for polling 9/14 - 10/14: 35% are from South, 64% are 50+

http://www.gallup.com/poll/154559/US-Presidential-Election-Center.aspx

The demographic breakdown there has 3-week rolling averages, updated weekly, under 2012 Presidential Candidate Support by Group.

The latest 3-week period had Romney leading Obama in the South, but by only 11 points -- with a lead of 9 points for the 3-week period before that, and 11 points for the preceding three weeks. Pretty stable numbers.

And now suddenly (according to what I've read about the cross-tabs for yesterday's Gallup poll) they're showing Romney with a lead of 22 in the South, which is what's behind his "national" lead of several points.

... lower than the last time. And 64% over 50 is just plain nuts.

nm. They shouldn't even do the south. Their so called "National polls" imo, should be all of the swing states.
