We aren't going to see them. And to the people who are Romney Supporters -it won't matter. They will still vote for him because they worship money/wealth. That's how they judge/value people.

We need to beat the drum for women - he wants you to have to change your name OFaMansName and control your lady parts. Hyperbole? Maybe - but that's how I feel as a woman. And it's 'doable'. His tax returns are not.

And I suspect there will be people that will amp UP their enthusiasm for him if they are released - and show just how much of a Plutocrat he is.

and were I in the same position of being a tax cheat for decades, I'm not so sure I'd show mine, either.

Think about it, he's inviting the scrutiny not only of an outraged public over how little tax he pays and how much of his fortune has been stashed overseas where it can't benefit his country, he's also opening them to scrutiny by every accountant and tax lawyer in the country. Likely they will turn up multiple felonies.

Not only that, but a man who stiffs his country is also likely to have stiffed his church and that could be horribly uncomfortable for him, to say the very least.

I never did expect him to release any of his tax information. However, yes, he should be hammered into the ground for not doing so. It should be linked to the background check every single worker in this country has been submitted to. If he wants the top job, he has to provide us with his information.

The other day, somebody suggested that the capture of bin Laden has been Obama's silent ace in the hole. Though it hasn't been a front-row feature of the campaign, it gives him a huge edge in terms of pure public sentiment. I think Obama had a similar advantage over Hillary: It wasn't her fault, of course, but I believe that subconsciously, a lot of voters were turned off by the prospect of a Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton-(Jeb?) Bush progression.

In the same vein, I believe that though Seamus and the tax returns are "ancient history" as far as the MSM is concerned, those two insights into Mitt are still burning brightly in the psyches of the voters (if only because his subsequent behavior has reinforced them). And for Mitt to suggest that harping on them are a waste of time when it's "issues" that should be discussed, well, the quality of one's personal character is very much a political issue. Just ask Bush. And Clinton. And Bush. And Clinton. And (Jeb) Bush.

I'm sure there has been internal polling done by the Obama admin and it probably doesn't poll strong enough for it to become an issue they attack... otherwise, they would be beating it to death.
