So far, I've only donated to DeFazio ( US House - Oregon) and Grayson.

DeFazio 'cause he's the only progressive nat'l DEM that is openly opposed to Race to the Top for the right reasons. ( At least the only one I can establish as being against RTTP.)

Grayson because... well, there's no one else quite like him.

There's a little $$ ( not much) left.

Any nominations?

But just two things:

1. If your funds were limited, why did you spend them on two completely safe seats, where they were not particularly needed? I, personally, would have directed my money to tight races in which the money is critical to gain an advantage.

2. If I were you, I'd make a quick, even if small, donation to the Obama campaign. Because if he is not re-elected, people like DeFazio and Grayson will be able to get absolutely nothing done in Congress. Under a Romney administration, and with a likely Republican majority in the House, no progressive legislation at all has a chance in hell.

That is my two cents.

Superseded in this case by the realization that four more years of Obamacation...... will ruin careers of many fine educators -- including many former colleagues -- while worsening already dismal learning environments for kids.

That I cannot support with $$. You have to see it up close... in fact be PART of it... to see how ugly and evil it is.

So no cash from here to enable the amateur-hour US Dept of Education.

That's to your point 2.

Point 1: I'm not so sure Grayson has a cake walk. And DeFazio needs to be rewarded so others may be encouraged to break free of nat'l Dem orthodoxy on ed policy... which , in case you haven't noticed, is *identical* to nat'l GOP ed orthodoxy.

BTW... it was GOP orthodoxy *first*.

Grayson's is running in a re-districted Congressional district that is safe. Plus, he's a multi-millionaire. He could easily finance his own campaign, as he did in 2008, where he used $2.6 million of his own money.

Alan Grayson, who formerly represented the 10th district from 2009 to 2011, is seeking to return to the House of Representatives as the representative of the new 9th district.[25] The 9th district will contain all of Osceola County, part of Orange County (including the Orlando International Airport), and part of Polk County. The district's inhabitants voted overwhelmingly for President Barack Obama, preferring him to John McCain 60-39%.

And I hope you're happy under a Romney voucher system for education.

DeFazio is my Congressman. I always give money to his campaign to make sure it is a safe seat. Thank you for contributing to his reelection.

Yes, I contribute to the DSCC and OFA.

I also have a little money left and will send it to Claire McCaskill today.

Nominally liberal DEMS who support school privatization and union busting are much more dangerous.

I'll look -up Graves, though.
