Have you seen this one going around Facebook??

Well my Uncle saw it and he posted this to his Sister-in-law who posted it originally:

You just don't get it!! Are you for free enterprise or not ? Do you want price controls on all these items? NONE of the people or companies that control these prices have anything to do with the government... so why is it government's fault when you are BEING SCREWED by corporate America? Crude oil costs 92 bucks a barrel ....it was 125 bucks a barrel 4 years ago.... so ..now tell me why oil company profits are up again? ( record increases and highs)Something to do with the president? Wake up!!!

I love my Uncle!!

That is sort of sexist, isn't it, that only women care about the price of food, since they do the cooking.

"The COLA in 2008 was just 2.3 percent, the smallest since 1904."
http://seniorjournal.com/NEWS/SocialSecurity/2008/20080915-LargestSocialSecurityCOLA.htm

Every year from 1975 to 2009 the Social Security Administration (SSA) has passed a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) to combat inflation by raising Social Security retirement and disability benefits. This (2010) was the first year since the inception of COLA that no benefits increase was passed. Unfortunately for the retired and disabled, the SSA announced today that there will be no COLA for next year (2011) as well. According to the SSA, inflation has been too low since the last increase in 2009 to warrant a raise for 2011.

Dozen eggs: .99 cents on sale
