Married Dinesh DSouzas Mistress: Also Married
(by) Jordan Sargent
Another layer of intrigue has been revealed in the saga of the downfall of conservative academic and rising Evangelical star Dinesh D'Souza, who resigned from his perch atop King's College today after it was revealed that he had a fiancee while also having a wife. Right Wing Watch reports that his mistress/fiancée, Denise Odie Joseph II, was also married, and said in April that she was going to vote for Mitt Romney, "because [her] husband told her to."
That husband, presumably, was not D'Souza. According to her Facebook page, Odie Joseph II was married on Dec. 30, 2011, so maybe she wrapped up the whole first marriage thing in time to become Mrs. Obama's Rage. But, given that she was willingly participating in a right wing version of "Elimidate," probably not.
D'Souza rose to prominence this year behind his movie 2016: Obama's America, which has grossed over $30 million. On Tuesday, the Christian World magazine reported that D'Souza had been introducing Odie Joseph II as his fiancee at a speaking engagement in Sept., despite still being married to first wife, Dixie. He has long been a paragon of traditional "family values", which makes the revelation of his dual-not-quite-marriage quite shocki nah, this shit happens all the time.

Dilbert Creator Scott Adams Endorses Mitt Romney For the Stupidest Possible Reason
Scott Adams is a rich white man who has turned his allegiance to Mitt Romney I'll give you a moment to regain your composure. Okay. On Wednesday, Adams wrote a mildly coherent blog post explaining why he will be voting for Mitt Romney in November, one that starts with a hypothetical situation that includes the phrase, "For the record, President Obama did not technically kill anyone to get elected."
After clearing that up, Adams says that he will not be voting for Barack Obama because of how the president has dealt with legal marijuana dispensaries in California. He goes onto cite the case of Aaron Sandusky (no relation, hopefully), the owner of a dispensary in Southern California who was sentenced to 10 years to life in prison in October. Adams calls this a "fireable offense," which, hey, fair enough. There are many legitimate reasons to not vote for Obama, and his continuation of the War on Drugs is certainly among them.
But then Adams goes onto explain why he is also endorsing Mitt Romney, instead of, I don't know, hitting "publish" and going to run errands.
"Romney is likely to continue the same drug policies as the Obama administration. But he's enough of a chameleon and a pragmatist that one can't be sure."
So, there you have it: vote for Mitt Romney because you're not sure what he will do, even if he is, for example, an outspoken opponent of medical marijuana. Personally, I've taken Adams' reasoning to heart and will also be voting for Mitt Romney as well, because he may erase my student loans and, let's see, personally fund the Party Down movie? That's real change.

(60,010 posts)Dilbert's creator has plenty of dry humor and snark, and his quoted reason for choosing Romney sounds like more snark, to me.

Adams has often commented on political matters. In 2007 he suggested that Michael Bloomberg would make a good presidential candidate.[12] Before the 2008 presidential election he said, "On social issues, I lean Libertarian, minus the crazy stuff,"[13] but said in December 2011 that if he were president he would do whatever Bill Clinton advised him to do because that "would lead to policies that are a sensible middle ground."[14] On October 17, 2012, he wrote "while I don't agree with Romney's positions on most topics, I'm endorsing him for president".[15]
Controversy
In March 2011, Adams wrote a blog post on the topic of men's rights after men's rights advocates responded in large numbers to his request for readers of his blog to choose his next topic.[16] In the post Adams says that men treat women differently for the same reason that men treat children or the mentally handicapped differentlybecause it is an effective strategy. The post generated a significant backlash and accusations of misogyny. Adams deleted the post from his blog. Several weeks later the post continued to generate controversy.[17][18] Adams responded to the continuing controversy by reposting the original text preceded by an explanation.[16] Adams argued that as in virtually all other posts to his blog, he had made extensive use of satire and sarcasm but that it seemed to have been lost on some readers.[16] He wrote that the furor that erupted on both sides of the issue only served to illustrate the point he was making: "You can't expect to have a rational discussion on any topic that has an emotional charge."[16]

(11,101 posts)Not only was it morally wrong and fiscally unsound, it has really hurt the President with the youth vote. I have no idea whether the dilbert guy is serious or not and honestly, Dilbert guy? I don't see his endorsement has key to anything, but there is still no rational explanation, either politically or logically, for the escalation of the war on pot by the President.

(62,534 posts)"don't vote for obama because of his pot record" (even though Obama admitted to smoking pot) but instead vote for mittens because no one knows what that crazy guy will do!! (even though he's a mormon and against any drug or alcohol use)
That's some odd logic.

(12,679 posts)Pretty obvious he's spent too long in the corporate world. He wants a boss instead of a president.
Unfortunatly, running a country like a business never works for the main reason that citizens just can't "quit" when they get pissed off at "the boss" or the corporate (social) structure and go live in another country that offers them the conditions they want to live under.
Countries just can't "re-organize" and move their citizens into different departments (work, states, whatever) or pink slip their citizens when they become redundent or don't "work out".
And yeah, the DoJ's Drug Warrior policy sucks. But you don't "punish" the president for one policy you don't like by screwing everyone else in the country by firing someone halfway compent for someone totally incompetent. It ain't "Dogbert v Catbert v Pointy Haired Boss".
