Republicans have a lot of gall.

I can recall when Iraq was going down the tubes and they decided to bribe those that were attacking us as a final desperate move to save face. To a large degree, it stopped most of the violence.

However, while this was going on, there were many different bombs that killed Americans and innocents in Iraq. It was not unusual to read of someone walking into a mess hall and setting off a bomb strapped to his body. Sometimes there would be 28 killed. Sometimes 30 killed. Sometimes 60 killed.

Nobody made an issue out of lack of security or made accusations of a cover-up when these incidents happened. It was not an issue in any of the elections, as is the killings of 4 of our people in Libya. Nobody made an issue of Bush being responsible for the bombing of the WTC and Pentagon that killed over 3000 people.

So what makes the Ben Ghazi incident different? Republicans see it as a political issue and believe they can make hay out of it. That's the difference in the Parties. The Democrats should ignore this hypocrisy and don't fall for the propaganda that somehow this is different than when they were in power?

I couldn't stop thinking about how 3000 died on 9/11 on Bush's watch, and
how Dems on the whole were respectful enough to not go for the jugular on
that issue.

Just like the white upper-middle class Calvinist Christian family who rage against abortion, but take their teenage daughter to get one as soon as they find out she's pregnant, just to prevent ruining the family's reputation.

...you sit down any of these losers with a map and ask them to point out where Libya is on the map and watch the blank stare. Then ask them what the nation's capital is and then wait to see how long, if ever, it takes for them to get Tripoli. I'm betting they say Benghazi as all they know are the talking points they're given. Next, ask them who was in control of that country a year ago and wait again for the crickets. All they know is what they're fed via faux noise and hate radio...amazing how wingnuts become "instant experts"...

I can't begin to count the number of times a wingnut has spouted right wing talking points and bleated them with authority as if they spent years working on that particular point as a thesis. In reality Faux Noise breaks the talking points down into easy to remember/regurgitate bile and the makes the wingnut think that s/he thought of it on his/her own.
