First day report of Nevada early voting. Very encouraging.

Jon Ralston ?@RalstonReports
First early voting #s in from Washoe, The Swing County: Dems had 48% to 38% for Republicans. 4,604 to 3,619. County even in reg. #GOPmachine

Jon Ralston ?@RalstonReports
@markdmiller2 It's only 1 day. But if Dems do well in Washoe County, they are going to do well in race for White House, may win #nvsen, too.

Jon Ralston ?@RalstonReports
@DanteAtkins It's share that matters. The Dems are winning by 10 points. And 1,000 votes. If the GOP was going to show force, Washoe was it.

Jon Ralston ?@RalstonReports
@DavidAtkins Early vote all about organization. Only 1 day of data. I'll say this: If Dems win Washoe by 10 percent, going to be landslide.

Jon Ralston ?@RalstonReports
More than 31,000 turned out in Clark. Four years ago, number was 25,000. Partisan breakdown will be interesting. Dems had huge edge in '08.

Jon Ralston ?@RalstonReports
Clark County early vote numbers are in: 18,388 Dems, 9,588 Republicans. 55%-29%. Similar to '08, but bigger raw vote lead. #GOPmachine

Jon Ralston ?@RalstonReports
Correction: Was looking at Day 3 in '08 (damn eyes). It's just under first day raw vote total in Clark for Dems in '12. But still huge.

and talking about how Obama should be worried and how Great romney is. but they are pretty much being ignored by the whores.

it looks to me like the whores pick out any poll which might seem close or have romney leading and claim the race is tied or Romney is leading.

but they are ignoring all the other polls which say otherwise.

7. Clark county is the (population) power in NV. We're going to add a couple more here on Monday.

Clark county, Las Vegas for those of you with the good sense not to live here, has a population of ~1.8M. Washoe county is the second largest with a population of ~400K, Third is Carson with a population of ~55K so you see, as Las Vegas goes, so goes Nevada.

If you ever watched Casino, remember the part with the dumb-ass yahoo that fucked up so badly as the slot machine manager, but Robert DeNiro couldn't fire him because he was some county commissioner's nephew? That is a depressingly accurate portrayal of Nevada in general and Nevada politics in particular.

All the people and all money are down here, but the state is run by the most pig-ignorant, blatant small-time crooks you can envision up in Carson City.
