Stephen Colbert polling better than Jon Huntsman in South Carolina

Comedian Stephen Colbert is at it again, this time poking fun at GOP presidential contenders Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman as he teases a "major announcement" on his show tonight.

The riff plays off Colbert's surprise showing in a Public Policy Polling survey that shows him getting more support in his home state of South Carolina than Huntsman, who came in third in the New Hampshire primary.

When Colbert's name is tossed in the mix, the Democratic-leaning firm found he garners 5% support compared with 4% for the former Utah governor. (Yes, seriously.)

Huntsman laughed off the poll during a Fox News appearance earlier this week, saying he thought he'd get a "Colbert bump" in New Hampshire and South Carolina.
