And right now we are in the beginnings of Soylent Green if the repugs get rid of social security and medicare.
True scary times that make me lose sleep at night.
Until we get rid of citizens united and fix our voting system so everyone can participate and a get back true independent free press we are doomed to a gloomy future.
That is why this election is so important, vote for Obama/Biden and every Democratic candidate to slow down the corporate takeover of America.

But Landa, played by Denise Crosby, was perfectly cast as the uber-geek, late night knows everything.
I love that flick, except for Mare Winningham's horrible mullet hair. Everything else just works.

(10,618 posts)That movie is a classic on the dehumanization of workers and the promise of social justice. I've watched it a dozen times at least. It's both funny and politically relevant even today, and the beautiful Paulette Godard is wonderful in her role as the homeless girl. (Too bad she's 100 years too old for me and already dead!)
