Senate Democrats are planning a meeting behind closed doors?

If they lose their majority in the Senate, they will vow to block everything that Mitt Romney proposes. Harry Reid will tell his fellow Democrats that the number one priority is to make Mitt Romney a one-term President. They will vote for nothing. They will block everything. What would you think of that strategy?

Senate Democrats can defeat Romney now if they show some backbone. While Rubio is putting out ads helping Romney in FL, our Senators gone quiet on Romney tax issues, have not put out a strong ad with our Senators downgrading Romney's bi-partisan fake agenda now. Women voters are flocking to Romney because of this bi-partisan talk. We have totally missed this.

but if true, I would say the Democratic Party is irresponsible for putting Party interests in front of the country's interests.

From my perspective,it would much be the in country's best interests for the Democratic Party to absolutely block willard/lyans agenda,at every turn....

In a pig's eye.. They are bringing the country down with the continuation of Bush's economics on steroids.
Democrats would be complicit in GOP treason , should they cave .
My question should Mitt have total control of everything , how could we stop his playing Nero .
Protests don't work.. Would all be hopeless .? The Gobbers goal is to defund all opposition , making the 1%'s power absolute.

Romney can tell all of the regulatory agencies to tone it down, reduce their level of oversight, and reduce the fines anytime there is a violation. He can saber rattle and try to provoke a war with Iran. He can bomb them if he wants to. He can allow oil drilling almost anywhere he wants. He can even allow expanded exemptions to Obama care.

Oh yea ... and then there are the remaining blue dogs who will allow Romney to appoint anti-abortion Supreme Court justices.

They feel that the less government the better. That is why they have no problem with shutting down the government.

That said, this is unproductive at this time. We need to focus on there being no President Romney. I can think of no campaign ever that less justified people trusting and believing the nominee than Romney's. Yes, this includes Bush's in both 2000 and 2004 - both at least had coherent (though I adamantly disagreed) messages where Romney has a magic 8 ball on every issue.

If the Republicans are rewarded with victory for using that strategy there is clearly no other choice but to adopt it.

And the Dems' can't fight back with a majority.. Democratic senators such as Whitehouse, Sanders, Brown, Kaine were elected with promises to , to protect Social Security and unfair income distribution.
Should they bail on their principals, for which they were elected.
We had a similar dilemma in 2004 when Bush tried to privatize Social Security. With their majority they backed off , when the American people told them No way.. Besides, more often than not, the American people don' t know of the issues for which they vote..
They instead just listen to platitudes. And buyers remorse soon sets in..
Will public pressure on the Gobbers this time cause them to back off. Doubtful.

...Rs always strike first; Dems sit on their hands and hope the Rs play nice. Should the Rs get control of the Senate, they may fear retaliation thus "justifying" doing away with the filibuster.

I personally think it's time the citizens rise up and recreate the government as the Constitution encourages us to do if it's broken beyond repair. Of course, that won't happen any time soon but I think the Federal government needs to be remade because as it stands now, it just no longer works for the people... it works a treat for corporations, rich people and lobbyists but the rest of us? No one gives a shit about us but ourselves.

Why we don't I don't know. My thoughts as to why is that if a Dem complains they are labelled effete whiners. When pukes do it they are patriots standing up against injustice..
