What the hell is wrong with someone that will attack little kids? An innocent chance to talk to the President and nothing more. Get over your hate. It makes you look petty, pathetic and little.

I was pleasantly surprised that the kid seemed excited to meet the President. If I had thought about it at all, I would have expected Romney children to think the President was a bad, scary man. I don't have much that is positive to say about the Romneys, but good on them for that.

Although to be fair, it might not have been Obama he was reaching for... there were a lot of Romneys on that stage. But yes, although it's unlikely that a kid that age would reach for a stranger, that was my first thought.

P.S. I adore your user name and your picture!

So, the little boy was probably reaching for his uncle but there are other pictures showing the same boy shaking hands with Obama.

Either way, the immediate image did look like he was trying to get near the president.

At one point Ann Romney picked up one of the boys. When she picked him up I wondered if she had picked up the kid to finally get him away from President Obama. That kid seemed to be staying by President Obama and talking to him.

I missed that moment but, I bet a picture of her giving her grand children nasty evil stares could lose them a lot of female votes.

And if you notice, he connects with them. He actually takes a few seconds and gives them his undivided attention. If you notice the pictures or tapes he even listens intently to what they say.

and all I could think of was that this innocent little boy, who was acting on gut instinct when expressing his awe (as wee ones are wont to do with strangers who they feel comfortable with), would eventually be socialized to hate, with all the fiber of his being, this black man, because he is considered by them to be "inferior" and "cursed".

last night was that after the debate the POTUS spent time with his opponents family in a positive manner. He did not attack them. America saw this and it will not be forgotten when they vote. Obama is a family man.
