Want to know how believable rmoney was on foreign policy? It made my husband think that he wouldn't govern all that much differently than Obama is - JUST BECAUSE HE SAID SO TONIGHT
I just looked at him with disgust and disbelief and said "O.M.G."
He said he's voting for Obama but the fact that he bought Romney's lie and shape shifting really, really disappointed me

(1,136 posts)If we survive this election, we may make it.
I have been so mad at him SO many times. I have, however, convinced him NOT to vote.
Hugs to you. I can TOTALLY sympathize.

(2,795 posts)But the fact that he would even see that shithead as anything but extreme and greedy is to me.
He's always been a moderate republican but not overly engaged in politics. He pulled away from the repugs during the Bush years and is really disgusted with their extreme views now. But I'm still flabbergasted that he even remotely believed Romney. I almost wanted to throw my beer at him.

(36,693 posts)Willard left $1 billion deficit for the next governor
His claim that students would get a free ride for college if they were in the top 25% paid about $900 when tuition was over $7100
Job creation dropped to 47th for the nation
He had over 800 vetoes and then 707 were overridden- so much for working with the Dems
Raised fees instead of taxes -impacting the people at the bottom
Raised gas delivery fees 400% - making everything cost more
Gave tax cuts to the 278 richest people in the state
Vetoed minimum wage increase - overridden 152(I think) to 0
Ask your husband which loopholes Willard is going to get rid of.......
Hope some of this helps

(21,056 posts)since you're sharing your disbelief about your spouse, that we think you need to have final say on all the big issues. HA!
Get it now, or one of a million other designs! http://www.zazzle.com/gop_keeping_millions_out_of_work_to_put_obama_out_bumper_sticker-128168268305863328?rf=238107662556833486

(2,795 posts)When we bought out last car, in the finance dept we were being pushed really hard to buy an extended warranty. We NEVER buy extended warranties so we never discussed it before going into finance. The salesman kept going lower and lower for this extended warranty and almost had the husband bought in. I put my foot down and said NO! I overrode him and the salesman and the finance guy was none too pleased because he could tell he almost had him.
I need to keep the husband away from any kind of sleazy sales type people including republican candidates!

(2,795 posts)I already filled out most of my ballot but we need to read up on a couple of ballot measures before choosing. So I'll look at who he votes for. I'm sure it will be Obama because he really does hate willard - but I'd really feel better knowing. I can't have him canceling out my vote like he did with Bush and Kerry

(2,795 posts)Though he's not liberal. Frankly, I don't know what he is He claims to be undecided but I think that gives him some sense of self importance - like he has some great hand in choosing the president because he's one of the sought after undecideds
But he certainly is nothing like his wife. She has her team/candidate and is blindly loyal to them/him/her. Quite stunning as I think she's pretty intelligent but she drank the kool-aid and is lost to the republicans forever

(13,133 posts)Often times they even try to convince themselves so much about what they are doing okay or even good that they think they will prove it by living longer. It's a very convoluted life a person in denial lives in, tread into it lightly
