Joe Scar stood up and yelled at the audience today!

At that restaurant where the show was being held, he got up, turned to the people at their tables, and told them they shouldn't talk if they "didn't know" what the facts were.

He clearly didn't like the sentiments they were expressing through their cheering and clapping (I think it was for Joe Klein who was defending the drone attacks).

Scar was NOT happy today. His eyes got beadier than I've ever seen them. He had a tight little mouth. Occasionally, he looked like he wanted to cry.

Even Chuck Todd said "When you say Romney "did what he had to do," it means you think he lost the debate.

Joe was all about how Romney "really won" all three debates. Why? Because he proved he wasn't "scary." And since when do people win the highest office of the land merely by "not scaring" the people half to death?

and unlike Democrats & liberals/progressives who are quick to throw their own candidates under thus bus, rethugs never do.

What little there is left of the "liberal" media needs to repeat over and over and over that Rmoney had a horrible debate. He was terrible. He was awful.

But I don't expect to hear it because there must be a "horserace", and like zombies, they will go back to the first debate to kick the President once more and ignore the last night.

For a show that claims to feature both sides POV's the next couple of weeks are going to be nothing but Joe talking up Romney non-stop (despite Joe's repeated reservations of Romney vis a vis the Middle East and Mitt's support of a perpetual/permanent military presence in that region).

God forbid, if Romney wins I'll probably avoid it for another week just to avoid Joe's celebratory jackass moments.

election.

Obama has done some excellent work, despite the first debate stumble. He sealed the deal last night, altho I do not think debates win or lose elections. Kerry won his debates handily and still lost.

However, I am going to keep the faith...

As I remember Kerry was behind going into those debates because of the swift boating. He made up significant ground in those debates, but he did make that Mary Cheney gaff. Plus Bush stole Ohio.

"stealing the vote" was really about voter suppression efforts (sorry, my confusion).

The Mary Cheney reference was a gaffe, IMO. I had a strong feeling that he was encouraged to say that, unbidden. I thought Kerry was uncomfortable bringing it up when it was not a propos the whole conversation. Of course, that has all changed now, and for the better, thank god.

I think having a good ground game from the start and having a rising mood of confidence in the economy are two VERY big factors in Obama's success so far in this campaign. He also was able to establish a very unflattering profile of Romney early on, with all the Bain Capital ads. They really worked and "set" the characterization of Romney in voters minds all the way back to last spring. Then they worked it and worked it. They had a leg up from the start, while Romney just poked along.

Of course, how does he know how much the audience knows about what they are cheering for?

He doesn't. He was just being emotional because his guy lost.

Too bad. So sad.

It sounds to me like he scared the crap out of his own base last night. Their boy spent the whole time agreeing with the man they despise. If that isn't scary to those wing nuts, I don't know what is.

He's creepy. Lurchy. When he stares at Obama with that queasy cheesy smile, he looks fucking maniacal.

If he gets in, every day will be a fight to not let them destroy the god damned world. That scares me too.
