The President is an authenitic person, no washing clean pots or saying what people want to hear - after the hell of his last four years, I am actually thankful that he wants to go on for four more - we owe him big time for taking this on!

When he was president, Bill Clinton was traveling in his motorcade along a road in Berks County PA. The local elementary school (Greenwich Elementary) had their kids outside holding signs as the motorcade went by. Bill orders the motorcade to stop and back up and pull into the school. He spent an hour with the kids, screwing up his schedule for the rest of the day.

When I visited the school months later, it was still filled with art work of "The Day I Met the President."

when you look at former presidents in the past 40 years, who are the ones that retired quietly to hide behind the fences of their wealth, and who went on to magnanimously give on and on, to the greater good. Nixon, Reagan, Bush 1-2 (out of sight). Carter, Clinton - out in world, heralded world-wide after their terms for their continuous humanitarian service. It kind of says a lot about the two parties - one self-serving and selfish, the other always about serving those less well off then they.
