If pregnancy from rape is God's will

Isn't death from childbirth also God's will? Yet God's helper Richard Mourdock supports an exception for life of the mother. I guess sometimes we can ignore God and sometimes we can't. Maybe a theologian can explain how that works.

I wasn't advocating his position, genius, rather pointing out one of its obvious contradictions. Maybe abstract thought just isn't your strong suit.

Meaning - that Mourdock made his bed when spoke, and giving him any opportunity at explanation would only yield a variant of one or two things:

1. He would double down on it - which he did
2. He would claim it was taken out of context, his words were misinterpreted, he did not mean what you think you heard etc. etc.

Offering these pos's a chance to recant, is imo, a futile effort.

That's why I said originally said end of discussion. Because for me it was. He said it. He meant it. No need to humor the asshole any longer.

and rape creates life & is gods will............

.....then the rapist is doing gods work & should not go to jail.

I use this thread of reasoning on GOPs all the time.

How would u like it if I rape your, mother, sister, daughter or wife
get them pregnent if they get an abortion they go to prison or
in south dakota GOPer are trying to execute women who get an abortion.

And I get visitation & custody of the child created by god, he so loved that woman he
had her raped, boy that is a loving god.

killing abortion provider legal? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/02/15/south-dakota-abortion-bill_n_823326.html

every fugging thing is gawd's will. No one is responsible for a single crime or a bad decision. No wonder I have nothing to do with gawds or morons.

and diseases.... those are god's will.... so anything that happens is god's will, then why do we have hospitals? and vaccines? and heart transplants? and cancer treatment? because that is a bullshit argument that's why. why is it only what happens to women that is 'god's will'? that is bullshit.

His opinion counts. And then it only counts about his pregnancy.

I am fucking sick of hearing men's fucking opinions about other people's pregnancies.

If cancer is God's will then no more cancer research or treatment. If limp dick (aka erectile dysfunction) is God's will then no more Viagara or penis pumps. If starvation is God's will then no more planting and harvesting.

This can go on and on.

Anything. Absolutely anything can be justified as "God's will". But to me it's still fascinating that a guy like Mourdock bases his opposition to an abortion exception for rape on "God's will" yet he agrees there should be an exception for the life of the mother. I can't say for sure how his religion works, but I have to assume that the mother dying would also be God's will; but in that case we can ignore God and intervene. Why does he think it's God's call sometimes and his call in others? I'd really like to hear him explain that to a heathen like me.
