Rush Limbaugh may have exploded some "Dittoheads" at 1:05 today - "Gallup's an outlier out there"

As some of you may know I do listen in on RW radio because it is the point of origin for the BS hurricane.
I have to say that this self-inflicted punishment had me worried (the 14 day out panic) until I heard Rush at 1:05 today.



What follows is from his own transcript on his website (no link). He preceded this with [font color = green]"Today's Gallup Daily Tracking poll has Romney at 50 (looong pause) Obama at 47". [/font]
I literally was punching the air - he and all of RW radio have been hammering home the Gallup and Rasmussen polls from BEFORE the change in the polls. I think they were browbeating pollsters to over represent conservatives but that is speculation. 51! 51! 51! they have been screaming for Romney's above 50 in Gallup for two weeks....then he said this

But if you look at all of these polls, the real gap is in independents. Now, I don't have any details on the Gallup today. The Gallup poll has tightened. It was Romney plus five. Now it's Romney plus two. Just get ready. I told you that the Gallup's an outlier out there. Gallup are the only people that had this at five or six. They finished number 15 or 16 in terms of accuracy in 2008.[/font]


This exactly opposite of his repeated point over the last month. He has claimed that Gallup was the most accurate in 2008 according to the Washington Post.


Then he turned back to paranoid conspiracy:

But being out there with Romney five or six... And being sued by the Justice Department, pressured by Obama campaign guy, Axelrod? You put Romney plus five or plus six, and you've got room to move Romney down to plus three. And then you can say Obama's surging. And if you want, you can peg it to the debate on Monday night. And right on cue, the Drive-Bys are reporting an Obama surge today in the Gallup poll.[/font]



Then he turned back to the good old days (yesterday) when Gallup was the Holy Grail:

But the numbers will still make an impact. The Gallup poll. Not today's. Yesterday's Gallup poll had Romney plus five, but we don't know what the independent spread there was and we don't know what the party ID split was. All we know is Romney was plus five. [/font]


The panic is palpable on RW radio. Hannity sounds like he is boring himself with Behngazi.
