OMG Romney making a complete ass out of himself at his campaign stump speech!!!

Last edited Sun Oct 28, 2012, 06:25 PM - Edit history (1)

OMG OMG

John Rich and Randy Owen must have been drunk as skunks. Romney looked absolutely mortified!! Singers put their hands on Romney's shoulders and the look was mortification!!

Thanks Lucinda for reminding me to add it.

I hate when the media and GOP attempts to compare the popularity and enthusiasm of Romney to that of Obama. There is none, it's all all lies. No one can lie and deceive forever and not expect something to go wrong somewhere down the line. This was one of those times.

So I know some can't stand OP's such as mine, there may be some that want to know and don't mind someone else calling out the crazy when they see it.

Mitt looks uncomfortable. He looks like he doesn't know the words. Though tempted to thrust a microphone in Mitt's face, a singer noticed Mitt's miming facade, and didn't pull the trigger. Too bad, it would have been a huge moment for late night television and a perceptional image disastor for Mitt.

Using the failed "Romny/Ryan" chant as the standard, I give it an 8 out of 10 conditional on it remaining obscure. If it gets exposure on a late night show, the score is 10 out of 10. In other words, just as entertaining as the failed "Romney/Ryan" chant.

Edit: After watching a couple more times, I hereby declare this as the new standard to replace the "Romny/Ryan" chant. All further amusing Mitt campaign wackiness will be compared to this for future scoring.

to the version they were singing.

They seem to have started in verse two and then mangled the chorus and mutilated verse three while caterwauling completely off key.

Next time, try a little rehearsal or something.

That was so bad, it is almost like Mitt was punked and they did that song to help Obama.

332. no, I think they got verse three sorta right
Fri Oct 26, 2012, 01:29 PM
Oct 2012

at least one started "oh beautiful for heroes proved, in liberating strife" and then they stumbled, or caught their breath and jumped in late to bark out "who more than self, their country loved, and mercy more than life" but then I do not remember if they did the right chorus or just went back to the chorus from the first verse.

That verse should have continued, I believe, with "America, America, God mend thine every flaw. Confirm thy soul with self control, thy liberty in law."

Whereas they may have gone to the more familiar "America, America, God shed His Grace on thee, and crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea."

I am NOT gonna listen to it again though. It is too painful to hear even with the sorta barely audible sound. If Democrats had butchered a patriotic classic like that, the media would be eviscerating them as traitors or something. Instead, Yahoo is painting it as a positive story. "Meatloaf surprises Romney with an endorsement."

The look on Mitt's face was priceless and the singing God awful.

It would make a great advertisement, with the caption, "Do you really want this guy running the country?"

At the end fade out the singing, fade in an image of Obama and flip the caption to something like "Barack Obama, a leader you can trust."

I had a philosophy. Love the art, not the artist. I've never been a huge Meatloaf fan but, despite his politics and obvious personal issues, I remained respectful because he had enough humor to portray "Eddie" and because "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" is awesome.

But, well, this image just flat-out cancels out all the good - all of it.

Meat Loaf Wiki, scroll down to the section on Politics...I am not makeing this up!

On October 25, 2012 Meat Loaf endorsed Mitt Romney for President of the United States [67] citing the Cold War as a major reason he had been "arguing for Mitt Romney for a year". Meat Loaf explained that “I have never been in any political agenda in my life, but I think that in 2012 this is the most important election in the history of the United States, because there has (sic) storm clouds come over the United States. There is (sic) thunder storms over Europe. There are hail storms – and I mean major hail storms! – in the Middle East. There are storms brewing through China, through Asia, through everywhere."

"let’s see what the networks do with this tomorrow"

"Can we get Meat Loaf and Ted Nugent to team up and do a nationwide conservative rockers’ tour?"

"Operatic-like voice. What a voice!"

Fri Oct 26, 2012, 05:28 AM

“There has storm clouds come over the United States,” Meat Loaf said. (Yes, he said it that way.) “There is thunderstorms over Europe. There are hail storms – and I mean major hail storms – in the Middle East. There are storms brewing through China, through Asia, through everywhere, and there’s only one man that on the other night when President Barack Obama, God bless him, said to Mitt Romney, ‘The Cold War is over.’”

“I have never heard such a thing in my life,” Meat Loaf continued. “The man needs to understand Putin and Russia. So I want you to know that there is one man who will stand tall in this country and fight the storm and bring the United States back to what it should be – Governor Mitt Romney!”

At the end of the rally, as fireworks went off overhead, Meat Loaf joined Romney on stage and the two joined to sing “America the Beautiful” together.

In an amusing coincidence, Romney’s wife, Ann Romney, appeared earlier today on the daytime cooking show hosted by Rachel Ray, during which she made her husband’s favorite dish: Meatloaf.

There you have it, Ann is responsible for cooking the meatloaf.

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/meat-loaf-backs-romney-citing-candidate-backbone-024350047--election.html

This one is from "Holly Bailey" from Yahoo's The Ticket, which is Fox News Lite (remember the Last CEO of Yaho was from Fox News.)

Anyway.. like the story on ABC and featured on Yahoo last night, this one is SERIOUSLY touting the Meat Loaf endorsement as something AWESOME!!!!

A "sequined rock star!" Meat Loaf a "rock star?" He loves Romney because of his "backbone" lol. Actually, the other article stated that Meat Loaf was moved to support Romney because of his comments on "Russia" and that we need someone to take on Russia and the "storm clouds in Europe." Yep.. they dont' mention that Meat Loaf and that other guy from Alabama were obviously drunk out of their minds, and couldn't sing a note. Nope.. it was a serious fucking article about how GREAT the endorsement was....

Yes.. the same media hacks that allow the attacks on Colin Powell's endorsement.

People will see that and think that he went out and hired four badly dressed drunks to "sing" America the Beautiful. Nothing beautiful about it.

the singers did not know the song and the singing is atrocious, Mittsnake looks like always, an empty shirt this time and where did all these rombots come from? SAD. SAD. SAD. Typical mittytwit activity.

uncomfortable. He doesn't like being around the peasants. It's so easy to see this. What a stiff jerk. And then Meat Loaf going off like he did was so funny!

and yep, Mitt looked like he wanted to bolt from the stage. That had to be some of the worst singing by so called Professional singers that I have ever heard. And it was quite a disgrace for them to sing that particular song in such a horrendous fashion. I'm surprised that the audience didn't storm the stage to choke the sh*t out of them for what they did to that song.

He's a sad and dangerous joke and the fact that there are those who refuse to see it, regardless of the reasons, speaks volumes.
