"having trouble in their marriages, losing faith, becoming depressed"

THIS is what comes to Mitt's mind when he talks about joblessness...

I would worry first about hunger and homelessness and loss of life saving meds...

All of his initial reactions are valid, but less concrete and immediate...

All the things he listed can be countered by a stern "suck it up, ya crybaby!" by Tea Partiers.

He won't acknowledge the concrete stuff.

Rich people often have trouble in their marriages, depression, questioning of faith. Mitt himself may have felt these things. But hunger, lack of medicine, homelessness? I doubt Mitt can really even fathom such things. After all, he thought he was right poor when he lived in a French palace full of art with servants. I honestly think the man is incapable of understanding what it means to be poor, jobless, homeless, sick with little or no care.

chances are you might have trouble in your marriage, lose faith and get depressed. Romney can't seem to make that connection because he can't imagine those circumstances, having been filthy rich all his life.

meet". To be fair, I never really got it either until I had to do it myself. Granted, I always watched what I spent and didn't blow it so I still had a few bucks when payday rolled around, and I didn't have to worry about a paycheck (at the time), but he's even MORE clueless than I was .

Not until we walk a mile in someone's shoes, and all.

But I always had compassion and empathy -- not so sure about Romney.
