I'm more tired of the media's constant pressure for women to submit to men to have sex with them. Everything on TV now is about taking the power to say no away from women.

People learn from media, and have to deal with those who watch and listen let it determine how they are going to treat people IRL. The generation that is coming up doesn't seem to have a strong footing resisting this and I worry for them.

I've seen a number of young ladies who put with some of the worst behaviors in order to have someone in their lives, and don't speak out. I'm not talking abuse, just simply knowing there are some things they have to not talk about or they will be shunned.

A whole generation heard Rush call women who spoke out 'feminazis' and churches getting out of hand with their ideas about how women's bodies are not really their own. Men don't want to be told that, no one does. Yet the message is out there and unavoidable.

Glad to have a place like DU where some people believe that women should, as Obama says, have the right to control their health care decisions, not men and certainly not churches, and politicians.

They're implying that any woman with a sex drive is supposed to object to sex out of outrage and to avoid being called a slut.

It's fine for men to be sluts, but not women. They have to choose between sex or respect.

The old, "Will you still respect me in the morning?" crap.

Give me a break. Every time we start to make a gain in women accepting they like it too a bunch of these guys come along to clamp the lid back down. That's not equality at all, it's spiritual captivity. I've known women who accepted that they were absolute horn dogs and they were brilliant, insightful, and comfortable in their own skin and happy and lived in reality without the cloud of guilt and fear that seems to hover over many women.

.....oh yeah,....that's right.

They're assholes.

Ever hear the expression, "Most men are assholes?" It's usually assumed to be white men.

Now,...look at the polls.

Especially when we resort to REVOLUTION to stop the rise of Gilead.

We need to start by taking away the vote from men for however long we didn't have it, which was about 135 years, if I'm doing the math correctly.

Then we need to be the ones who make all the decisions about matters related to the men parts. We can decide who gets a vasectomy, who can be treated for prostate cancer. They'll need a prescription for shaving cream and razors.

While there are a lot of good men out there, far too many of them, and way far too many of them who are legislators, need a few generations of finding out what we women have gone through since the beginning of time.

to do with your body too. Is that acceptable because they have the same parts you have?

I don't like sexism in any kind, and your post reeks of sexism.

I don't like any gender telling me what I can and cannot do to my body. I don't like ANYONE telling me that. It's my choice.
