Did NOT expect this from a Guardian representative !

Was dozing in the armchair late last night watching the Press Preview (a half-hour review of the first editions of the next day's newspapers) on Sky News in the UK. I don't normally take a look as they usually have a right-wing BS-er on there and I don't like going off to bed with high blood pressure. Last night, however, there was a guy on there from the Guardian reviewing the papers (I'll fess up, I was a bit sleepy and didn't catch his name - but he wasn't a reporter - I think his title was "projects manager" or something similar). The Guardian has pretty much been an Obama cheerleader since 2007.

The good trade figures in the US were being discussed. Grudgingly both reviewers admitted this might give an edge to the President. (With the usual line about the race being "too close to call&quot Then, the Guardian reviewer said - "well, the President needs some good news - after that first debate, I'm beginning to doubt if he really wants this election - I can't understand why he isn't out on the stump today...Romney is out there campaigning".

Could not believe this twaddle. The TV coverage of the election here this time round has been piss-poor apart from the debates. It's been a relief to have found this forum - I especially love the photographs of those huge crowds turning out for the President !
