The Office AssHAT Popped My Cork Tonight

....This ASSHAT sat at his desk bitching about the terrible healthcare his wife has been receiving for a liver failure issue and the fact that he was geeting calls from collection agency's within a week after receiving the bills......THEN he launches into a ANTI OBAMA RANT.... repeating the birther issue, calling him a communist and stopping short of the N word.

Then he says that MOFO OBAMA better not get reelected or else we are all fucked, any one who voted for him is an idiot and the he said CORPORATION are PISSED at him and are withholding hiring people ..... I let it go for about an hour and then I asked him if he thought I was an idiot or a person who makes poor decisions, he said HELL NO. I then said you know I got my ballot last week and mailed it right back that day and I voted straight line Democrat including President Obama and I also have given ober $100 buck to his campaign, am I now an idiot, he would not answer me.

I then just went directly to his last point and said I dont get it. Why would corporations want to potentially run their businesses down the toilet just because they are unhappy with the President and his policys... he said cause his policys are killing their ability to make large profits so they cannot hire new help. I said its funny you mention profits, most corps have boasted of the highest profit earnings in the past 3 years. I said you know if I could get hard evidence of a corp that is playing this kind of game I will stop trading with them. I said they are killing themselves if you take into account that for everyone they hire generates on average 3 jobs in the community-s and it multiply's from there. They are the ones who have bad policys.

I had to get back to my desk so I closed with "ALSO if I found out our CEO/President/Owner was playing this game I would resign immediately,

I went back to my desk.....he was quiet the rest of the night.

prior to Obama's election? Or why they had closed 50,000 factories in the US and moved them to China? Were they clairvoyant knowing that a black Democrat President would take office in 2008 and just getting into practice for future non-hiring?

That 50,000 figure came from a tv program, don't know which...but this site has the number too:

She came in, the next morning, to find a list of over 200 of the President's accomplishments sitting on her chair. She came straight over to my desk, because she knew it had to be from me, she thanked me for the information and admitted she was wrong. Pretty suprising, and from what I'm reading and hearing, far from the normal reaction.

a very clearly expressed reason why they dont HAVE TO hate him, why he really IS on THEIR side. It can be tough living in a bubble of hate, sometimes you can come to believe that you HAVE to hate, just to get along, as it were. I'll admit that those people might be few and far between, but you did the right thing. I did that once with a sort of co-worker who said all the stuff the Dem's were doing (social saftey nets and whatnot) were just Constitutionally Illegal. So I printed a copy of the Constitution and took a damn highlighter to it, complete with margin notes. I don't know if I changed her mind, but sure as hell she left me alone after that.
You did the right thing, and came out ahead. Good Job.

They ask why he didn't get anything done then. I reply that their memory is even shorter than their dick if they can't remember Obamacare, Lilly Ledbetter, Dodd-Frank, and the Consumer Finance Protection Agency.

I point out that they complain of his acheivements every day, then turn around and complain that they don't remember any.

..when they rant about taxes in Republiworld.

In Republiworld, corporations make announcements that they are downsizing due to high taxes. They hear all the time that businesses refer customers to their competitors rather than add staff to meet high demand. The resulting lower profits presumably puts them in a more comfortable tax bracket.

Republiworld is an odd place indeed. It's the home of the pizza in 2 hours or less.

14. Q. Is it good in one's own budge to invest in the long-run or for short term goals only?
Sat Oct 27, 2012, 11:50 AM

Q. If you are buying a house do you not consider the future quality of the neighborhood that house is in?

Q. Given a flashy impressive car, with high mileage and definite mechanical problems, and a plane unimpressive car with low mileage and good mechanical condition, which one do you finance?

Q. If you cash in part of your equity in a home to re-side your house, do you get the cheap stuff and pocket the difference, or do you buy the highest quality siding goods you can afford?

Q. If you have to re-locate for whatever reason, do you consider communities/neighborhoods without sidewalks, no parks, no mass transit, and few, huge, poor performing schools?

Maybe our whole economy has itself soooooooooooooooo front loaded with debt that businesses can't look at a candidate the same way that they would make the personal finance decisions sketched above. If that's true, digging the hole deeper with no thought but to service short-term goals is only going to make everything worse for the diggers. Nothing will ever get better until we invest in the long-term.

We will be digging America's grave, with the help of the kind of BAD business models that Mitt Romney delivers.

"Don't you see what he's done? We're all decent people. We are. And he's preyed on our weaknesses and our hatred and our greed and our prejudice and our fear. Don't you understand? He runs on hate. And he's used it to turn us all against each other."

That's right. Republicans are using the tactics of the devil.

It was widely accepted that one of the main temptations of the devil was to sell your soul for fame and fortune.

I'm an atheist but recognize the teachings of the Bible involve aspects of human nature that touch on fundamental truths and offer precautions against those who would manipulate the masses for personal gain. Which is actually kind of eerie to think Republicans are using techniques that are about as time tested as possible if there were warnings against it thousands of years ago.

Consumer spending has gone up. Typically when consumer spending goes up businesses hire employees. Consumer spending has gone up but hiring has not. I think they are waiting until the election is over. But I don't blame Obama for that. I think corporations are just shirking their responsibilities as usual.
