This is actually funny for a change...

Just got a notice from Verizon that the impending storm may disrupt power and thus cable and Internet services which will be out until power is restored. If you need to know the status of the power outage you may receive info at Verizon.com/outage

their estimate, 100 times a day. Every time there would be a notice on the tv that said "If you're experiencing problems, please call our service department or go online to our website and let us know what problems you are having." Yeah, right.

however, if I lose power and internet, provided the cell towers aren't damaged, I can still put this info up on my smart phone.

Not easy in suburbs of Philly where there are dead zones because towers don't pass zoning...
