I just got an SMS from a right wing thing
It is a bit upsetting actually the message.
I texted it back saying "Please don't text me again."
I didn't realize that they are allowed to send mass SMS texts like that...
It said
[font color=white]"Obama believes killing children is a right until the umbilical cord is cut"[/font]
I hid the message, but highlight the text to see it.
It may be related to the church I go to, where this Sunday the sermon ticked me off enough that I walked out, which was in regards to non-negotiable issues. I just don't think they have my cell number.
Is there any way to block such things? Not sure if this is for GD or something else.

Anonymous anti-Obama texts flew fast and furious late Tuesday night, bombarding a large number of cellphones, including the phones of a number of D.C.-based journalists.
Complaints about the messages began to surface on Twitter Tuesday evening. At least five or six texts were circulating, according to Scott Goodstein of Revolution Messaging, who took to Twitter to lament the messages.

Last week the Federal Communications Commission began accepting comments on a petition, filed by Goodstein, that seeks to have Internet-to-phone text messaging declared a type of autodialing. The technology, which collects cell numbers without consent and then messages them via created email addresses, isn't currently covered under the Technology Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and some consider it a loophole for those who want to spam your cellphone.

IMHO it should be illegal since some recipients, like pay-as-you-go customers, are charged for the unsolicited text.
informedett.com and reppacett.com have been suspended for spam and abuse according to WHOIS.
