who had a life threatening accident in Mexico. The ambulance (on the way to the us border) would stop every so often and the driver would demand more cash. Pay or they stop and she dies....

Once across the border and US emergency services there was no concern,

...Plus the mindless drones that have been brainwashed into unquestioningly voting for him.

Is there any hope for them? The only way I can see it is via mass deprograming interventions by family and friends.

Trouble is, the family and friends are most likely brainwashed, too.
