Anyone Else Notice Paul Ryan's Absence?

Is it me or does Ryan seem to have been largely AWOL from media events since his soup kitchen stunt? I take it the Romney campaign is muzzling his extremism in the final week. Likely for a variety of reasons, but most probably as a buttress against further eroding the women's vote as Ryan would certainly be asked to elaborate on his desire to force women to bear the children of rapists. Hush hush. Move along now. Nothing to see here...

the news is all Sandy, all the time. Even the CBS evening news was a half hour on the story last night. If it weren't only a relative few days before the election, they wouldn't even talk about Mitt. Ryan's been crowded out by events.

I think it is strategic. I haven't even noticed his mug at any fake relief/campaign events. (Of course, I can't speak for Fox as I don't watch it.)

Mittens wants to keep him under wraps.. To the national stage.. He knows Ryan has his negatives to hide.. But, Ryan is busy rallying the tea nut base in out of the way places away from the public eye.. Check out Ryan's agenda before you think he's been hushed away into some dark closet.

He's been in such crucial "battleground" states like South Carolina, Texas (with Crashcart), Arizona and California. Supposedly the Bishop still needs other people's money and Ryan's been dispatched to separate the suckers from their cash.

Actually Eddie Munster's been out there, the corporate media seems to be ignoring him. In fairness, we don't see much of Joe Biden's speeches or appearances. Your point is valid, though...Pinocchio's appearances have been far and few on the national stage in these final weeks...especially since the Mourdock comments. It's all image now...surface, not substance...thus pictures of Ryan looking "sexy" are fine...his words are not.

He and Mittens are two smarmy, lying peas in a pod, aren't they?

I have so many issues with the Repuke ticket I can't even list them all.

Just a blanket "yuck" from me.

WaPo's "coverage" from last week:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/ryan-makes-final-fundraising-swing-through-reliably-republican-states-in-deep-south/2012/10/26/96132cc8-1f4a-11e2-8817-41b9a7aaabc7_story.html

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — John McCain won Alabama by 21 percentage points. The 2008 Republican nominee won South Carolina by 9 percentage points. And McCain carried Georgia by 5 percentage points four years ago.

Yet GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan is campaigning in these reliably Republican states — looking not so much for extra votes as for cash. The late-in-the-race detour to reliably Republican states is the latest evidence of the reality facing presidential contenders: These campaigns cost a fortune.

Yep...they've got him muzzled and hidden. Hope someone has a camcorder...be fun if his words at these fundraisers just sorta showed up this weekend...

I could assess this campaign as the ridiculous freak show it is.

But, really...

This is what the Republican party has devolved into? A couple of phoney-assed hypocrites hell-bent on denying those in need and stuffing their pockets with every dime that can get out of honest labor?

I just can't get my head around it.

Romney's handlers probably told him to back off because Lyin' was becoming a liability to the campaign.
