Imagine Sandy Coming In As Strong As Katrina Did In New Orleans. So ----

in a sense the area dodged a bullet in one way. Yet this storm was huge by any comparison other than wind speed. In fact the sheer size of Sandy made Katrina seem small in some ways. I do not remember lower Manhattan ever being flooded like this.

I remember a Science Fiction Theater episode back in the 1950's where they postulated a storm that had 300 MPH winds that missed the US. It was a very scary scenario they spun back then. You wonder what is in store with the weather if we pass the CO2 threshold.
