You know. It is actually possible we will know the election winner on election night.

Some have speculated that the race, if it comes down to Ohio, as it very well might, it could be weeks before we know who won.

The repubican FuckerUppers have so FuckeredUp the voting rules in Ohio that a close race could be as nailbiting and frustrating as was Florida in 2000.

But consider . . . . while GreasyHair Mitch *H*A*S* to win Ohio, Obama can win without it.

How sweet would THAT be?

That's a point of view that I hadn't considered, and I think you just might have a winner!

If North Carolina is too close to call for an hour after the polls close, Romney's screwed.

If Florida is too close to call for an hour after the polls close, Romney's screwed.

If either Florida or North Carolina is called for Barack Obama, it's over and Obama won.

If Virginia and Ohio have been called for Obama, it's over, Obama won.

The moment you see 192 electoral votes called for Obama before the polls close on the West Coast, the race has been called and Obama won.

They look pretty good.

Myself, we're not going to get to the 192 metric. As soon as West coast polls close, the networks will call the election for Obama.

But we may know before that. However, I do not know if whether the networks will call the election before West Coast closes or not. I know that they will be very tempted to call it early.

Question: Did the networks call the election for Obama in 2008 before the West Coast polls closed?

I cannot remember.

They will call states as they can. They will cite Electoral College counts as they're known. But unless one guy gets to 271, they will not make the call. West Coast voters ate them new assholes for doing it a few cycles back . . . . saying it hurts their turnout, which is important for local votes on local candidates and initiatives.

he only needs 192 AND the west coast and it's a done deal

there's a lot of ways to 192 for BO and Ohio doesn't have to be in any of them
