CONCORD, N.H. —
New Hampshire can compete with any state when it comes to political tradition, but a Sunday morning rally featuring former President Bill Clinton and President Barack Obama outside of the state capitol in Concord added two new footnotes.

Not only it is believed to be the first time two United States Presidents have even been in the state on the same day, much less share the stage, but it is also the largest political rally in state history.

Concord Assistant Fire Marshall Ken Kiehl gave the official crowd size estimate of 14,000. If true, this would beat the previous record set at a John Kerry for president in downtown Manchester. Like Obama’s rally, the Kerry event was also on the Sunday before the November general election. Joining Kerry were the owners of the Boston Red Sox, which had just won baseball’s World Series first time in 80 years. (On stage for both events was John Lynch.)

The Kerry event drew 13,000 people, according to the Union Leader, which dubbed it the largest in state history.

Without Clinton, I don't know where we'd be. He's been the best help for Obama.

Might even deliver Fl for Obama. If Gore had been this smart, he would have won in 2000.

Should've let Clinton help him.

We'll be there! We're very excited as we pull out the long underwear to wear tomorrow for our early, chilly arrival downtown!

Anyone know what time the event ends or when Obama goes on? I won't be able to get there until 9:50.

We're hoping to get to the shuttle bus by 8:00. Street closings in Concord are supposed to end at 12:00, so my best guess is between 10 and 11.
