This is exactly why I just joined. I have warned my sister to back off with her crazy facebook crap, last argument we had was over some kool-aid drinking movie at church she watched about Agenda 21. It ended with her telling me that I'll be turning her over to the government socialist camps for being a christian and sorry to hear that I will be burning in the upcoming rapture. She knows she's hit a brick wall with me so now she has turned her sights on my daughter. This is my daughter's 1st election to vote and she is proudly voting for PBO in Colorado no less. Went after my sweet girl regarding obamacare. My daughter knows better but i'm done being nice. Tried to find a rebuttal on snopes but not what I was looking for. First, when you debate a right winger in public, understand that they are not your audience. The RW person will NEVER change their mind.

Most people on FB never post anything. They simply read what others post. And they are your target audience.

Now ... regarding Obamcare ... they best response to a RW person is to call it ROMNEYCARE. Simply point out that OBAMACARE is ROMNEYCARE. And that the only reason that the RW does not like it is because Obama proposed it.

Then ask them, if they disagree ... WHICH parts of Obamacare are different from that Romney now says he'd keep? If they say MANDATE ... point out that THAT provision was proposed by the right wing think tank, the Heritage Foundation ... they LOVE that provision.

Finally, MOCK them. You will never change their mind. So don't try. Mock their positions so that other see you do so.

But unfortunately this would be a reasonable rebuttal and my sister is far from reasonable. She's dark side all the way. Her beliefs give her the judgemental high she is always craving. I just want to stir the pot & be a thorn in her side.

Like I said, I've tried to walk away but I'm done. I don't even care about what my sister thinks just so that Faceook followers know better & my daughter can get rid of her. Again, this is old crap. It's an email from someone who "knows" someone who had to move to Quebec & the horrors of socialized medicine. That they are taxed to death, that only 25% have regular doctors, everyone else has to utilize walk-ins, everyone's incompetent and rude in the healthcare industry, basically said this "person" should have aborted her last son due to Down's syndrome, how much tax money is your life worth, a six-month wait for a mammogram, waiting list for doctors, tiny hospital rooms, had to go to NY to get mammogram cuz Quebec never got back to her with results, blah, blah, blah, and so on. I'm wanting to shove something in my sister's face, I've tried to be reasonable, I've begged her to stop, I've even said things like even if you don't believe in global warming isn't it worth lowering our heating & electric bill, lower dependency on foreign oil, leaving a nicer, cleaner place to live which gets the rapture talk going. Why bother if Jesus is coming? I just want to be nasty at this point. She hates being wrong and she can't stand being talked back to. I've been the bigger person for too long. I'm done. Give me some ammo PLEASE
