was watching an old Law & Order episode, where a lawyer was grilling a doctor regarding cause of death. BUT ISN'T IT POSSIBLE??!! the lawyer asked, regarding an alternate cause of death. The wise old doc responded, "It's possible DEATH RAYS FROM MARS KILLED HIM, but HIGHLY UNLIKELY."

They're always delusional. It's like a fact free vortex, if you will.

And in their world, Romney is leading by 20 points.

No big surprise.

Really.

I'm very curious as to how they are going to react to an Obama triumph.

They have been increasingly irrational and delusional as the Obama years have passed; they have also convinced themselves that Obama's defeat is certain and will be conclusive.

So, psychologically what is going to happen to them? Certainly they will have to maintain that somehow the election was stolen. But will they call for outright revolution and revolt? Actually, considering their mindset, how can they not call for the overthrow of the legitimate president?

It is going to be very interesting to see how this delude segment of our fellow Americans is going to react.

I had a discussion with a friend today that fell for the FAUX garbage lock, stock and barrel.

At least she's not a US citizen (Canadian), so she can't vote.

She argued with me about the electrical workers, no matter how many sources I gave her, no matter who was quoted in the article. Even a direct quote from the IBEW and Chris Cristie weren't enough to get through to her.

Faux and Limbaugh have made them delusional and they believe there are being told the truth it is an alternate reality for them

They ratchet up fear and hatred to these people

like FDR said "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself"

think about what fear does

It's truly frightening. Every story posted almost has no verifiable link or is from Faux or some unknown woman's blog site. Then the stuff about Sandy was amazing. (I'm quoting them) - if you live in the midwest and get hit by a tornado that's your fault, why would you live there, why should my tax money help them, my house flooded and it wasn't a natural disaster and nobody came and helped me. Seriously how delusional can you get. How do you become like them? Is there any hope of ever fixing them?

... there are some studies showing that "the conservative mind" has a harder time with cognitive dissonance than the non-conservative mind. So, while we were (most of us) perfectly able to imagine (though lament) that W was leading in '04, that's not something they can really do, especially given how strongly they believe Obama is a clear and obvious failure.
