They are sharpening their knives saying horrible things about Governor Christie things I never read here even when gave his keynote at the RepugCon

It really made me sad to realize there is so much hate in those people and on Facebook they are posting nasty comments on his Wall

Seriously.

Christie is still a Republican, and will run as a Republican in future elections--and will probably win some of them.

Unless they chase him away from the party and convince him to become an Independent.

I don't know as much as I should about his positions on social issues but I know he took on some anti Muslim creeps and doesn't seem to be into the god, guns and gays platform that dominates the GOP.

The GOP is going to have to tac to the center if they plan on winning the presidency in the times we live in. they're now fully outside the mainstream.

Christie seems like one of the few with the sack to lead that movement.

Then again maybe he's just another creep.

Perhaps his recent needs in re Sandy will help him to get over that. Stranger things have happened.

But yeah - he hasn't been a total wingnut on god, guns and gays. He hasn't protested it all that much. either.

You can see/hear the true anger and venom of the unhinged against Christie right now and I don't see it subsiding any time soon. Should Willard go to defeat, the knives will be out and after Willard is given the most blame, Christie's name won't be far behind. Keep in mind the clown car demolition derby we witnessed last year and remember that some of the losers such as Rectorum will be back with other teabaggers who will all claim that the reason they lost was the party didn't have a "true conservative". Christie will have to face a primary that will be just as stupid and ugly as the one we witnessed with one major exception...the party "settled" for the establishment candidates, Gramps McCain in '08 and Willard in '12 and came up empty...Christie will be painted as Rmoney, Jr. and his throwing Willard under the bus will be a liability.

The rushpublicans will come out of this election more divided and angry as ever...

You'd think they'd have a change of heart about the president, knowing that one of the guys who they look up to just praised him. Clearly these people don't listen to reason. They'd rather be caught in a natural disaster than witness the success of Obama.

The hatred for Obama on the part many but by no means all Republicans is irrational. The reasons for it are completely fictional or nonexistent.

They have one thread where they claim Elisabeth Warren held a rally and nobody showed up.

Then they claim Romney events are packed.

During 2008 the McCain campaign only showed FOX "News" and cheers went up each time a "red state" won. Then they cut off the feed and had live bands play like they already won. They had no clue as McCain took to the stage. They were expecting a victory speech and to their shock he conceded.

That said, it is quite funny to see them eat there own. Also, it might be fun to check out on election night...and hilarious if the odds are in our favor

It's a uniquely American trait to believe that anything can be fixed,
with enough time and effort.

But it's also phallacy.

Some things can't be fixed.

Freepers fall into that category.

until he thanked and praised the Prez for his hurricane response. Now I have new respect for Christie as having some reason, civility, and a modicum of honesty. He also had the wisdom to turn down a VP run with Romney. The rethugs will undoubtably blame Christie for Romney's failure, but as time goes by, they'll find new faux outrages and kabuki theatres to play.
