inspiring...beautiful....

I'd like to think this kind of thing would happen in my town too, should disaster strike. But NY is showing us how to do it, with class, grace and creativity.

This thread took me by surprise, it wasn't what I was expecting, it brought me to tears. Very moving and powerful in it's message.

Born in NY state, makes me feel amazed at the way people work things out wherever we are.

But the methods in the OP have a distinctly NY flavor - I miss that can-do spirit of NY. And the pizza.....
