(129,082 posts)He has criticized Rmoney all election season and now when it comes down to his own party about to go down to total ruin, I expect he is going to try to salvage whatever is left. He needs to let them self-destruct. He and others of his ilk enabled the crazies back in 2010 and now they are paying the price.
Rethugs need to stop ceding their party to the racist extremist ignorant lunatic masses and bring some intellect back!

(2,424 posts)George Will will likely not be a casualty.
He has lost considerable influence within his party since the rise of the wacky Tea Party. When the Tea Party fades away, George Will be left standing in the midst of a party in shambles.

Not a single other person, even the GOP-leaning ones, projected Mitt winning.
On edit: He's going to look even more ridiculous Wednesday morning.

When you lose Meeka...

(21,925 posts)Halfway through the evening, when it looked like Lyndon Johnson was winning every state east of the Mississippi except for a few southern states, Barry Goldwater's surrogates were on the tv screen furiously spinning, telling Republicans not to despair and that Goldwater would win every single western state. Of course he lost in one of the biggest landslides in US history, Johnson getting 16 million more votes and beating him in electoral votes, 486 to 52. I think that was the first time I ever realized that people in politics spin and lie as a matter of course.
