New Frontier Strategy SC poll: Willard 32, Grinch 23, Santo 14, Paul 10..

from the Politico..

Mitt Romney holds a solid single-digit lead in the South Carolina, claiming 32 percent of the vote to Newt Gingrich’s 23 percent, according to a poll conducted for the Virginia-based consulting firm New Frontier Strategy.

The survey, which was conducted for NFS and private clients, has Rick Santorum in third place at 14 percent, followed by Ron Paul at 10 percent, Rick Perry at 6 percent and Jon Huntsman at 4 percent. About 12 percent of voters say they are undecided.

Romney appears to benefit – as he did in Iowa and New Hampshire – from an electorate focused on the economy and electability. Forty-one percent said jobs and the economy were the top issue, followed by spending and the budget. Fifty-five percent said the most attractive characteristic for a candidate was his ability to defeat President Barack Obama.

If Romney wins SC its over. That would give him a win in 3 distinct parts of country and a win in his weakest area.. the conservative south.
