Romney Surrogates Get Beaten Down by David Gregory and Fox News for Jeep-to-China Lies
by First Amendment

The media finally wakes up and takes on the serial liar. It took them long enough. Where was this type of journalism two weeks ago? Maybe they are finally realizing which way this election is going. Enjoy the video.

Go team blue!!

http://www.politicususa.com/romney-surrogates-beaten-david-gregory-fox-news-jeep-lies.html

Today, a relentless assault on Romney’s auto lies dominated on the Sunday shows, from Fox News to David Gregory. Yes, you read that correctly.

Watch a montage of Romney surrogates getting pushed on the Jeep and GM moving production to China lies here, courtesy of Obama for America:

&feature=player_embedded

An incredulous David Gregory on Meet the Press to a frozen Eric Cantor, “The head of Chrysler said that that is deceptive… This from a business leader, Governor Romney, who apparently thinks it’s good business to outsource in order to make companies more competitive. Is this the hopeful, specific agenda that Governor Romney has for the state of Ohio and the country?”

On CNN’s State of the Union, Candy Crowley said, “You’ve been able to unite both corporate America and the unions in this false ad.”

Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, “Wasn’t that a mistake, especially when both Chrysler and GM said the ad was misleading and the fact is that Chrysler, far from shipping jobs out of Ohio is actually expanding operations in Toledo.”

When he said right after that was that he had not seen the ad, and that it must not have been running in Virginia. In a critical election state? Sure. What-ever-you-say Cantor

I live in Virginia and I have seen that ad many times.

Romney is doing more to unite America against the GOP than anything Democrats could do.

They don't have to spend it on a network they see as 'unfriendly' if it tilts too far one way.

Gregory is hedging for his network bosses.

All the focus above on Romney's lying ad instead of on Romney's own words ??

1. Romney repeats a right wing lie;
2. Romney gets cauught;
3. Romney runs an ad carefully worded (by lawyers) so it doesn't say anything "technically" untrue;
4. Instead of focusing on what Romney himself said, focus shifts to the ad.

Cantor hasn't been taught that when you are going to lie, you have to make sure not to blink very often. It's a dead giveaway. But yeah, it sure could have been a shocked lie.

Only the statements furthering the premise of the title. While I know the ad was deceptive, a lie, a clip of questions regarding a topic has to include the responses, or it's not information. It's yet another ad that leaves something out. I'm getting tired of all these ads.

Hell has finally frozen over.

You know your campaign is going badly when your surrogates are getting pounded by David Gregory. Losing an argument to him is like loosing a game of checkers to an orangutan.

The clip is funny because Romney is getting kicked around by the Republican echo chamber. It's a safe bet that he's hit rock bottom when his own side is killing him.

20. Romney Has Never Retracted His Initial Statement
Mon Nov 5, 2012, 12:45 PM

That he heard that Jeep was set to move "all production to China". Romney surrogates like to claim that by not repeating the lie takes the lie off the books. It doesn't.

In the debate Romney said his health care proposal would cover pre-existing conditions, which was a lie. The next morning the Romney campaign corrected what Romney said and that ended that and took the lie off of the books. The Romney camp did not do that with the Jeep to China claim and that is why it hasn't gone away. The lie is still on the books and leaving it on the books has killed him as this story shows.
