(3,030 posts)>One thing he will not talk about is his own politics. While some of his friends suspect that he is a Republican, Mr. Jones said he >would remain mum on that score. But he did allow that he expected Mr. Obama to be re-elected.
>Oh, hell stay in," he said. Its as it should be.

(28,876 posts)I can assure you that Romeo, MI is in no way hardcore. If he raps about growing up on "rough streets" he is likely referring to quaint cobblestone.
On the other hand, both Bob Seger and Iggy Pop (among others) are from Ann Arbor, where I now live. It's not exactly hardcore either, so you never know.

Sorry, but I LOVE some of his movies (The Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, Wedding Singer, Spanglish, etc) and this just really makes me sad.
Don't know if I can ever look at him the same...just totally unexpected!

(32,094 posts)A fat chunk of them are right-wing pundits? It's all really fucking hilarious. These insecure assholes whine and bitch about "celebrities" because the vast majority of entertainers and other celebs are liberals. Yet, they feel compelled to construct lists of "conservative celebrities" in order to make themselves feel better. AND, they have to pad those lists with people are famous for spewing their political opinions (Limbaughs, Billo the Clown,Brian Kilmeade, etc.), and with people whose views are actually questionable.

(4,119 posts)Doesn't mean they'll vote Romney...or voted McCain/Palin.
Sadly for the republicans, GWB was the last of the "respectable" republicans. At least he was until he took office.
Tea baggers, FOX NEWS changed the party.

(2,888 posts)a lot of these people are deader than a bag of hammers. Also, altho certainly red baiting and hysteria was commonplace, a republican during Cary Grant, Clark Gable, or Jimmy Stewart's time (im talking about pre '80s) is a very different animal to the repugs of today. Wendell Wilkie? Ike Eisenhower? Total pusscakes as far as the teabag party is concerned.
