Damn. No TeeVee for me tomorrow.

I live in Jersey and my house is still without power. Fortunately, my parents are selling their house (and have already moved out), so we're staying there for the time being. We have heat and hot water, but no TV or internet service. Best we can do is iPhone 3G.

If politics were as important as sporting events to America, then we could just visit a local "Politics Bar" with 50 screens showing results on the various networks. As it is, we're stuck without any live feeds.

Unless, of course, some DU'er has a genius idea. Anyone? Beuller?

3. AM/FM Radio. Do you have a battery-powered radio?

Major CBS stations will be doing election returns, both local and national. PBS stations also will mostly be doing election returns. Other news stations will also be focusing on election returns. That's what I do after going to bed on election night. Our local CBS radio affiliate, WCCO, goes nonstop with election returns until it's all settled.

is to see the faces on the Faux News anchors when (if?) they finally concede.

be showing returns, and probably from Fox News, if they're like the ones around here. I just wanted to mention the radio, since a lot of people seem to have forgotten it exists.

I'm too obsessed about this election to get much of anything done tomorrow.

5. Actually some sports bars dedicate at least one screen to returns

So do make some calls and find out.

The other, is official return parties by the local parties. Some are held at homes.

Or you could do the insanity we reporters do, and go down to where your county reports are counted...you do not need a media card to get in.

14. There is an app for that...

Dubbele.com has an app called "Electoral Vote Polls" - Live Presidential and Senatorial race updates on the phone. It's Free!
NY Times also has an app with up to date video and news links. Also free, however limited unless you have a sub for the NYT.

I'll be voting the moment polls open, however my Dubbele app will be what keeps me up to date... With the hurricane clean up and coming nor'easter I probably will not be home for the next 72 hours or so.

15. Have a night cap and go to sleep. That's what I'll be doing.

I don't do TV, but I do have a DSL Internet connection. I go to bed about 9 every night. I'm not staying up to watch anything. Hopefully I'll be getting laid when the polls close. I'll read the results in Wednesday's paper.
