Brevard man pretended to be dentist, pulled teeth out in home
A several month investigation has come to a close as Palm Bay police say theyve arrested a man practicing dentistry without a license.
John Tibaduiza, 49 was arrested Wednesday after one of the patients he practiced on in his home on the 1200 block of Lingen Avenue identified him as the man who pulled out her tooth and hurt her, according to police reports.
The investigation started last year after patient Karina Martinez went to Tibaduiza get her tooth pulled for $150. Martinez told police Tibaduiza used what appeared to be pliers to pull her tooth out. She said he told her he was a dentist in Colombia 20 years ago and that he was known among many immigrants to do cheap dental work.
Police said Martinez went another dentist to get Tibaduizas work fixed, who then reported Tibaduiza. Martinez told police that during the extraction her tongue was cut and may require surgery to repair.
