Beautiful short note my wife posted on facebook about the President's Rally last night in Aurora, CO

My wife doesn't post much in the way of politics on facebook... but she posted this note on her impressions from the Rally last night, I thought I would share.

via facebook:

Last night, 20K + gathered for a late night rally. A mixed crowd. A middle school boy in a collared shirt with glasses was inching his way toward the front. His eyes eager and his smile wide when he looked back to his parents and younger siblings, asking them to come forward.

I moved over for his family to go in front on me. The dad, in a colored shirt, no jacket, work keys attached to his jeans, the smell of home cooking and a family excited to see the President. The dad trying to shirk off the cold, rubbing his eyes, looking at his watch but patient for his kids. Quiet. Maybe this bright eyed boy sees his reflection when he looks at the president...

The president arrived, the man smiled wide, lifted his kids high in the air and then, they turned around to leave. Quietly back to work, the kids back to school.

VOTE!

btw, Dave Mathews was great:

We were there too. We got through about half of his speech before walking to the gates. Afterall, it was already 11.30pm and my 8yr old needed to get to bed. We'd been standing there since 4.30pm. But she would have been absolutely heartbroken if she didn't get to see him. In fact she was sobbing when initially I thought I wasn't going to take her because it would be so late on a school night.

I noticed a lot of families with kids leaving before his speech was over.

So she's a little tired at school today. She got to see the President and wear her "Kids for Obama" short

luckily the roads were well managed and we got out quickly... went mainly for my daughter to experience... she complained a little but I am certain she will remember this for a long long time

President Obama inspires his followers with his passion his compassion and his inspirational spirit!
He helped all of us to see the light again! It is growing stonger and we are all better for it.
May God bless our President as he makes history tomorrow night!
