Hit 55 houses, had 15 responses. 14 Obama voters (1 3rd party ) No Cons.
The ground game in this county is solid. Lots of signs and stickers in the neighborhood, and if I'd been offered any more water, I would have floated away. (compared to 2004, when same neighborhood seemed mildly hostile to canvassers, that's a very, very good sign.)

(9,808 posts)The L cities, which are *not* Boulder. We tend to be reliably blue, but some years, it's a grudging blue, more voting against the opposition than voting for our candidate (and we have a significant percentage of both left and right threaded wing-nuts, determined to vote for whatever egomaniac has convinced the Anarchist Butterfly Collectors Party to put them on the ballot.)
Until the mid 70s, Boulder county was old style, sane Republican and most of that ended up out here in the L cities. I must admit that fracking has been good for us, in that it turned lukewarm moderates into fierce partisans (against it).
And I lived in the Springs until 2000, and worked for El Paso County Mental Health, under the oh so generous and kindly care of Betty Bowers. El Paso county is hard cheese. Loved Old Colorado City, loved downtown, loved Manitou, but... Whoo-boy was I ready to go. Let's hope the Write in Jesus campaign works down there this year, eh?
