I know I'm preaching to the choir but, remember: People died for the right to vote
My neighbor said this to me yesterday, something her father told her to impart how important it is to vote and something she's imparted to her son.
From the beginning of this nation, people died for the right to be free and to vote. If you have to stand in line for hours, do so gladly, because someone died so you could stand in that line. After we've won this election, then we become so vocal that long lines never happen again. We become so vocal that Republicans don't think they can get away with trying to make it harder to vote. We become so vocal that we have our elected officials pass federal election legislation that makes it a crime to disenfranchise legal voters. We make sure that in two years we impart how important it is to make sure the people trying to disenfranchise voters don't get reelected because people died for the right to vote and we shouldn't take that for granted.
